Virtual View: Tour Our Newcastle Home Without Leaving Yours

September 1, 2018

Searching for a new home usually begins online. You look for listings that fit your criteria, make a few calls, do a drive-by to check out the location, and then maybe go back for a personal tour. Cothran Homes lets you use your time more efficiently. With our virtual tours, you can wander through a home just by tapping keys on your computer. We invite you to get a virtual view when you tour our Newcastle home without leaving yours. Move back and forth and side to side by using the arrow keys to get a 360° view of every space in this 1,800 square-foot home. We created the Newcastle for The Retreat, Cothran Homes’ new community of single-family homes located in Simpsonville, just 14 miles from Greenville, SC, one of the fastest growing cities in the country! Click here to  get to the Newcastle floor plan, then scroll down and click on the “Quick Menu”. Choose “Virtual Tour” and then click on the arrow in the center of the window that pops up. Once it’s loaded, go to the lower right corner of the window and click on the open square to open up the view to full-screen (this gives you a much better look at the details). Now, use the four arrows on your computer’s keyboard to move forward, back, right, and left. You can zoom in on details, like the view from the master bedroom window, the stonework on the fireplace surround, and the tile backsplash in the kitchen. A virtual guide for your virtual tour Let’s look at some of the key points you can see in this virtual tour of the Newcastle home design at The Retreat. The sunny entry features hardwood flooring and wainscoting on the walls. There’s a bedroom beyond the vestibule on the right that would also be great for a study or home office. A full bath separates this room from another, equally-sized bedroom. Let’s go down the short hallway from the foyer, past the mudroom with the conveniently placed hall bench. Now, step into the sunny, open floor plan of the main living area. The living room is accented with a box ceiling, adding vertical space that expands the open feeling here. Look at the fireplace with the rustic mantel and stone surround, contrasting the classic lines that accommodate any interior style. The kitchen is designed to be functional and elegant. The oversized center island adds plenty of workspace while also accommodating casual dining. And all this cabinetry (plus the pantry) gives you storage room to keep everything easily accessible and organized. The many windows added to this design welcome the South Carolina sun into your home. The natural light accentuates the details like the warmth of the floor and the open space. Now, move the arrows to the opposite side of the kitchen, “walk” through the living room, and enter the vestibule to the master suite. Go past the laundry room, but poke your head in to see the extra storage we’ve included. Check out the master bath. The dual vanities feature cabinetry that complements the elegance of this area. The step-in shower has been customized with a tiled bench. We’ve incorporated a private water closet, and added the walk-in closet just beyond the bathroom. Let’s go to the heart of the master suite: the bedroom. The boxed ceiling and recessed lights open up the room, while a large window streams in the sunlight and affords a view of your private backyard. There’s still more we’d like you to see in the Newcastle at The Retreat, including the many ways you can personalize this home to reflect your individual taste and style. When completed, this exclusive community will consist of just 44 homes. You can become one of the first to move in and enjoy the benefits of this convenient location, maintenance-free yards, and quality home that’s designed and built to your wishes.
